It is very easy to lose track of expensive assets whether they’re within your organisation or currently on site at a client. Those assets can take many shapes and forms – plant and machinery, protective clothing, specialist test equipment and tools, or even mundane but pricy items such as vacuum cleaners. Our solution? Get the person responsible to accept the asset using the Barcoder 250 system. This system uses unique labels to identify each and every asset and this makes monitoring the location of all assets very straightforward and reliable. Each item gets a unique number, and you can give a shared code to equipment with multiple examples, such as radio phones, making it simple to see where given assets are whenever you need that knowledge.

New items can be scanned by the site manager on arrival using easily available and low cost Android or iOS devices. Date of scan may be used to allow the easy management of the asset should it be subject to periodic test schedules for example.

Tracking is only part of the module’s management function, and ensures equipment is in the loop regarding future situations such as valuation and moving items to other sites or into storage. It’s also possible to set up reports so you can note the location of all items in a particular class.
